Cambodia transport and riding guide
Choose airport transfers, intercity buses, trains, taxis and tuk-tuks with practical safety checks.

1. From the airport: Techo International Airport has an Airport Express Bus connection to Phnom Penh. Check the official airport transportation page for current stops and operating times before travel. Arrange a hotel pickup in advance if arriving late. 2. Intercity buses and vans: Popular road corridors connect Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampot, Kep, Preah Sihanouk and provincial capitals. Buy from an identifiable operator or verified agent, then confirm the exact boarding point, seat, baggage policy and expected arrival time. 3. Passenger trains: Check the latest passenger routes and timetable directly with Royal Railway; rail does not serve every major tourist destination. 4. Around cities: Tuk-tuks, taxis and ride-booking services are practical in larger cities. Confirm the app fare or negotiate the total price and drop-off point before departure. 5. Temples and rural areas: A tuk-tuk, private car or van with driver works well for multi-stop days. Agree on the total fare, waiting time, route and parking charges. 6. Safety: Keep tickets and valuables with you, use a helmet on motorcycles, choose identifiable drivers and avoid unnecessary overnight road travel. Do not rely on old fares or timetables—reconfirm the day before departure.
